The Hebrew language is derived from 22 letters. The 22 letters also represent the numbering system, as each letter also represents a number. Going back to the earliest form of the language, which was called Paleo-Hebrew, each letter also represents a picture with its associated word concept. It is quite an exciting language and, I believe as do many others, the original language of the human race before the tower of Babel....

Shema in Hebrew means “to hear”. It denotes not just hearing but hearing and obeying.


In Deuteronomy 6:4 we have the command, “Hear O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one!” (NKJV)  A better translation of this scripture would be, "Hear Israel - YHVH is our Elohim, YHVH is one!"


Any time in the Old Testament (TaNaKh)  when the word LORD is written with all capital letters it is the personal name of God, YHVH.  No one knows...

Below is listed some current Hebrew words and their meanings. Most of these words are used often in my blogs and it is my desire for readers to understand what they mean.
