It is with a heavy heart that I have been watching the news these past few days. The atrocities committed against Israeli citizens is unbelievable. The complete disdain for human life: children, infants, the elderly (holocaust survivors), and men and women of all ages; murdered as they slept in their beds, hid in their homes, or were just out and about on a Shabbat morning (which also was a high holy day). Many were carried away as hostages, including children and babies. It is extremely hard for me to even think about.
Our Ancient Paths stands in solidarity with Israel. May the God of Israel come speedily to help them in all matters. There are so many needs to pray about. We need to pray for the hostages to be returned safely. We need to pray for those who have lost loved ones or still have missing loved ones. Pray for all of the IDF. Pray for all of Israel's leaders to make right choices in this matter. Pray for the safety of all Israeli people. Pray also for the innocent Palestinian people caught up in this mess. Pray for a speedy end to the war. Pray for evil to be destroyed. The list goes on and on!
What will come of this? Will we see Jerusalem surrounded by armies? Will all nations turn against her? Will this usher in Messiah's return? I don't know but if we want to know when Yeshua will return then we best keep our eyes on Israel - the apple of His eye!
Does this tiny little nation of Israel matter?
